History Onion · Part 7 · 2:48
February 28, 2026. Nearly 900 strikes in 12 hours. The Supreme Leader is dead. But this was not new. In 1981, Iraq was building a French-supplied reactor outside Baghdad. June 7, 1981. Eight Israeli F-16s flew 1,100 kilometers, low across the desert. Ninety seconds. Sixteen bombs. The reactor was gone. Begin called it a doctrine: preempt any adversary building the bomb. In 2007, Syria was building one too. North Korean engineers. North Korean design. September 6. Three minutes. Same outcome. Both sides stayed silent for years.
